Healtheries Goats Milk Powder is hygienically produced from fresh New Zealand goats milk. It contains no additives, and only the water is extracted.
Goats milk is a nourishing and delicious alternative for those who have problems digesting cows milk. Goats milk contains smaller fat particles than cows milk and is generally used for children who are unable to tolerate cows milk or for those who have digestive problems.

Goats milk may also be suitable for those who have a history of eczema, hay fever, asthma or other allergic disorders due to cows milk allergy.

Healtheries Goats Milk Powder is not suitable as an infant formula and should not be given as a sole source of infant nutrition under the age of one year. It may be used as part of a childrens diet after the age of one year if the child's health and appetite are in good condition. We recommend continuing on with infant formula until the age of two years if the child's immune system is weak.

Ideal for:
  • Goat’s milk is a nourishing natural food for those who are allergic or sensitive to cows’ milk which can cause diarrhoea, bloating, eczema and asthma.

  • Goat milk digests easily making it the perfect food for children, the elderly, those with digestive difficulties, those recuperating from a disease, and pets that have been weaned from their mother.

  • Goats milk is suitable for pregnant and breastfeeding women.

  • Goat’s milk is an excellent calcium source, which will assist in strengthening bones and teeth, and in the prevention of osteoporosis.

  • Goat’s milk is an important daily source of protein. Two servings per day will supply a young child with half its daily requirement.

  • Goat’s milk tends to have a better buffering and neutralising quality than cows milk, and so is helpful for the treatment of digestive acidity, ulceration, and inflammation.

  • The digestibility of goat’s milk can be attributed to its casein curd, which is both softer and smaller than that produced by cow’s milk. The smaller and softer the curd, the more easily accepted by the human digestive system. Many infants who have difficulty digesting cow’s milk find goats milk a soothing natural alternative.

  • Goats milk is also suitable to feed to pets or farm animals.

Processing:
  • Healtheries Goats Milk Powder is not homogenised, but is pasteurised at 72 degrees for 15 seconds and is spray dried. The enzymes in dried goats milk powder are inactive and a minimal amount will be destroyed by the pasteurising process. Mixing water with the powder will not reactivate the enzymes, however fermentation as for the production of yoghurt, will allow these to become active again.

  • Healtheries Goats Milk Powder contains no additives, no sulphur dioxide, and is not irradiated. It is GE free and routinely and stringently tested for pesticide and antibiotic content. The use of growth hormones in goats is not authorised in NZ.

  • Breast milk is best for babies. Good maternal nutrition is important for breast feeding, and reversing a decision not to breast feed may be difficult. Introducing partial bottle feeding could negatively affect breast feeding. Infant formula should always be used as directed. Proper use of infant formula is important to the health of the infant. Social and financial implications should be considered when selecting a method of feeding.

Healtheries Goats Milk Powder is not suitable as an infant formula and should not be given as a sole source of infant nutrition under the age of one year.
