Why is gelatin so good?

Gelatin has been used for generations to make all kinds of delicious treats like jellies, sauces and desserts. What we might not realise is how good naturally sourced gelatin is for our health. Gelatin comes from the protein, collagen, which goes to work in our body to naturally boost collagen production that supports digestion, gut lining, bones, joints and muscle tissue, and immunity.

How is gelatin good for gut health?

The gut is largely where our immune system resides and is linked to every area of our body including our brain. Factors in everyday life contribute to the damage of our gut, upsetting the sensitive internal balance. Gelatin provides the necessary building blocks, like glycine to support the gut lining, encouraging the growth of good bacteria keeping our immune system strong.

How is gelatin made?

Nutra Organics Natural Gelatin comes from pasture raised Australian cows. Type I and III collagen proteins are used in gelatin manufacture, going through a process to create an odourless, colourless and tasteless gelatin powder.  

Support wellness from the inside out.

Use gelatin to make gummies and other treats. Add to soups and sauces. 

  1. 'Bloom' Gelatin by adding 1/2 cup water to 1/2 cup Gelatin (2:1 ratio)
  2. Add 1 scoop: 200ml of boiling water or any hot liquid with your flavouring
  3. Stir until dissolved and refridgerate to make a set jelly (2hrs). 

Note: add half the gelatin if making a 'softset' like panna cotta.
